Nike launched Nyjah Huston’s first signature skate shoe in 2018, and the series has since developed a reputation for hard-wearing materials and outstanding performance design. In 2025, the SB Nyjah 4 built on the innovations of its predecessors to provide a silhouette that can support Huston’s high-impact skate style.

The Nike SB Nyjah 4 has a breathable reinforced mesh upper with highly durable HART (High-Abrasion Rubber Tech) forefoot panelling that delivers a consistent flick. A sturdy integrated heel clip offers maximum stability and containment, while the seamless rubberised overlay incorporates perforations for increased ventilation and the traditional tongue is held in place by a series of central lace loops. Punched eyelets further secure the lacing, thus ensuring a locked-in fit and feel. Its materials are quick to break in, and the interior has been widened through the forefoot to produce a more accommodating shape. Lastly, heel and tongue pulls tabs make for effortless on and off.

Supporting the SB Nyjah 4 is a hybrid MTPE sole unit whose flexible vulcanised construction creates great balance and boardfeel. Thin yet comfortable foam cushioning is bolstered by a heel Zoom Air unit that improves shock absorption while adding fast reactivity off the board. Hard-wearing HART rubber forms the wavy grip lines rippling across the outsole, allowing a thinner, more lightweight application of material and thus maintaining flexibility and boardfeel without reducing durability or traction.

The sleek shape and classy branding of the Nike SB Nyjah 4 aesthetically build upon the throwback sports shoe vibes of its predecessors. Translucent effects reveal intriguing details across the design, with sidewall Swooshes visible through the rubber panelling, Nike SB heel lettering covered by the plastic clip and Zoom Air revealed behind the outsole rubber. A miniature logo punctuates the forefoot and another has been subtly etched into the lateral heel, while Nyjah text on the heel of the midsole and the tongue tab complete the stylishly minimalist look.

To support the summer 2025 release of the SB Nyjah 4, Nike commissioned a cinematic campaign video that not only showcases its skating prowess but also gives a deeper insight into Huston. It does so via a series of exhilarating clips of him pursuing his adrenaline-fueled passions: skateboarding, trail running, dirt biking and DJing. Lively electronic music plays over the top, giving it a captivatingly chaotic feel that sets it apart from other promotional films.
