Basketball superstar A’ja Wilson joined Nike in 2018 following a highly successful college career littered with scoring records and tournament wins. She continued to earn accolades in her debut season with the Las Vegas Aces, being named Rookie of the Year and becoming an All-Star at the first time of asking. By 2024, Wilson was already a two-time WNBA champion, MVP and Defensive Player of the Year but was yet to receive her own basketball shoe. That all changed in February with the announcement of the Nike A’ja Wilson signature collection.

Released in time for the 2025 WNBA season, Wilson’s first signature silhouette, the A’One, was informed by her distinctive style, built around her versatile game and designed to inspire the next generation of talented players. It focused on lightweight comfort, with a breathable yet durable screen mesh upper featuring plush padding and midfoot lockdown bands for a snug, secure fit. A responsive Cushlon 3.0 midsole enhanced underfoot comfort, while the generative tread pattern offered multidirectional traction and the lateral TPU frame improved stability, making the A’One an incredibly supportive basketball shoe. Alongside its high-performance construction, A’ja Wilson’s debut silhouette incorporated personalised storytelling details such as custom logos, inspirational quotes referencing her beloved grandmother and Celtic symbols honouring the unwavering support of her parents.

Wilson took the Aces to another WNBA championship with the A’One on her feet in a record-breaking season in which she became the first player, male or female, to win the league scoring title alongside the MVP, Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards. Building on this success, Nike released the next A’ja Wilson signature shoe in May 2026. Known as the A’Two, it upgraded the original by adding energy-returning Zoom Air to the forefoot and a stabilising shank to the midfoot. This solid sole unit was accompanied by a durable, foot-conforming upper with ventilated panelling and an injected, moulded heel counter that increased lockdown. As well as evolving the series’ performance capabilities, the A’Two delivered on style through its bold aesthetic and a collection of storytelling designs including the A’Pink launch edition, with its bright, expressive shade of Wilson’s favourite colour.
