Sabrina Ionescu partnered with Nike following an illustrious college career that saw her selected first by the New York Liberty in the 2020 draft. She soon proved herself as one of the most consistent players in the WNBA, making her first All-Star appearance in 2022. Her impressive on-court performances paved the way for the Sabrina 2, which arrived in June 2024 with a more lightweight design featuring a soft, responsive Cushlon 3.0 midsole, a grippy herringbone outsole and an S-frame upper with generous padding and a new midfoot containment system.

Sabrina’s second signature shoe helped her lead the Liberty to its first WNBA Championship in 2024, thus ensuring the ongoing success of the series when the Sabrina 3 came out in 2025. Containment, comfort and lateral support were once again prioritised through computational embroidery, mesh pleats, secure lacing cables and lightweight padding, while a new S-shaped tread pattern delivered solid grip without compromising court feel.

2025 brought further accolades as Sabrina won the Three-Point Contest and made the All-Star team for a fourth consecutive year. The Sabrina 3 continued to impress, with only the iconic Kobe 5 and 6 Protro models worn more regularly during the 2024-25 NBA season. In spring 2026, she embarked on another tour of Asia, where she officially unveiled the Nike Sabrina 4. Taking inspiration from explosive track spikes, its basketball-specific TPU FlyPlate enhances responsiveness, stability and lateral support, while its upper is covered in a textured haptic print for greater durability. Internal containment straps with integrated cables securely hold the foot, and the compression-moulded toe box and sculpted collar offer flexible comfort and a locked-in feel.
