In 2026, the brand’s First Sight collection pushed the boundaries of the sportstyle aesthetic to new heights via a trio of fashion-forward silhouettes designed to make a strong first impression.

The Nike First Sight Noir draws on athletic track spikes and chic loafers through its snug-fitting, one-piece suede upper. Delicate padding adds softness around the ankle, and the rounded heel cutout enhances lockdown while referencing innovative sprint shoes. Its exaggerated, wedge-like heel is a nod to the starting position adopted by short distance racers, and the ergonomic toe provides a nod to speedy running silhouettes. Underfoot, a comfortable foam midsole is paired with a dynamic rubber outsole that gives excellent grip. Sleek and athletic, the First Sight Noir features a bold look defined by its chic, curvaceous lines, exaggerated Swoosh and stunning platform heel.

Inspired by rugged American football boots and refined Oxford shoes, it has a sculpted upper made from durable synthetic leather and breathable textiles, with distinctive panelling that evokes the knocks and scratches of a hard-fought match. The Mirage also incorporates a cutting-edge cushioning system consisting of sculpted spikes made from sturdy TPU. Based on the studs of American football boots, these stacked 3D pillars are filled with comfort-giving foam, with hard-wearing tread lines on the bottom for reliable traction.

The final silhouette in the Nike First Sight collection is the enigmatic Shadow. Combining Y2K basketball aesthetics with the look of a classic boot, this stylish slip-on features a moulded upper that evokes classic hoop shoes such as the Air Flightposite. A flexible neoprene sleeve fits softly around the foot, and a charismatic overlay with intriguing globular accents and flowing design lines offers durability and style. Its comfortable foam midsole rests atop a rubber outsole with rounded traction pads and a range of grippy lugs. Miniature logos punctuate the outer, and a bold Swoosh wraps from the outsole up the ridged heel, ending below the collar and its convenient pull tab.

Nike released the First Sight collection in March 2026 with the help of Olympic gold medallist Masai Russell. Appearing in a series of captivating images, the track star modelled the Noir, which was the launch silhouette, praising its “fun vibe”. The Mirage came soon after, followed by the Shadow, each one decorated in energetic tones, with bright, eye-catching accents inspired by “athlete motion and emotion”.
