Nike first adapted its iconic Air Max 90 for golf following a request from Rory McIlroy in the mid-2010s. The resulting shoe performed well, but looked quite different from the OG silhouette. Several years later, the brand released the Nike Air Max 90 Golf as a far more faithful rendition of the classic sneaker with a combination of features that support use on and off the course.

The upper of the Air Max 90 Golf is made of mesh and fused TPU overlays, with a thin layer of synthetic waterproofing over the top to ensure feet stay dry. Multiple Waffle-inspired lugs combine with geometric tread lines to create a complex, grippy design that supports the twisting motion of the swing.
