Jordan 4 Retro
Elegant tones combine with practical effects on this Jordan 4 Retro sneaker, for a design that is both stylish and functional. Beginning underfoot, the white outsole has been divided into various sections containing a herringbone grip pattern aligned in different directions to give high-levels of traction throughout. In its centre lies a Fire Red Jumpman, while its toe is capped with lines of Neutral Grey stars. Above this, the polyurethane midsole is white at the toe, before the main part of it comes out in more Neutral Grey tones. This last piece is filled with black specks, creating an eye-catching aesthetic that has earned the shoe the nickname White Oreo. Within its surface, a transparent window has been placed, providing the wearer a view of the bouncy Air cushioning inside.
The upper, meanwhile, is built from smooth white leather, which can be seen in an overlay that wraps around the forefoot, as well as on a panel that goes all the way from the toe, through the midfoot, to the heel. Here, it dips down towards a fine seam in the middle of the heel, leaving room for the exaggerated heel panel. A Neutral Grey Jumpman stands out upon it, the intricately sewn line of thread skirting its edge giving the logo more compelling definition, and above it is a fan-shaped heel tab.
Around the quarter panels and at the front of the laces are a set of white grids, and between these, Neutral Grey lace cages can be seen, each one flecked with black spots just like the midsole. There are two of these cages on each side, one securing the bottom part of the white laces, the other holding the top securely in place. Connected to the back of the latter on each side is a triangular piece of TPU that lends the sneaker an extra bit of structural support.
Over the top of the foot is a white tongue emblazoned with a Fire Red Jumpman, while the rear of this puffy feature is made from a velvety material in further grey tones. The same padding appears around the inner lining of the shoe, before a concluding flash of colour shines out from the white insole in the form of one last Fire Red Jumpman.
