The striking colours of this Nike Ja 3 ‘Scratch 3.0’ pay homage to the Grizzlies, evoking classic jerseys from the team’s time in Vancouver and early years in Memphis. Turbo Green provides a vibrant base across the upper, as sharp, contrastive scratch marks made up of tiny Ja Morant logos reach up from the black outsole. Meanwhile, the player’s angular emblem brings a touch of opulence to the tongue in glorious gold embroidery, and University Red lettering nods to his jersey number on the heel. This vivid hue also highlights the medial Swoosh, but the lateral logo is more unpredictable as, though its outline is pure white, its centre fluctuates hypnotically between white and University Red in an absorbing conclusion to this dynamic basketball shoe.
