Jordan 11 Retro Low
"Georgetown"

This Jordan 11 Retro Low commemorates Jordan’s games against the Georgetown Hoyas during his playing career for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, in particular celebrating his iconic 1982 performance in which he scored the championship-winning shot in the final seconds of the game. As such, it brings together Georgetown’s rich blue and gentle grey tones to create a stylish sneaker. This starts from the outsole, whose lightly tinted translucent part is contrasted by Midnight Navy sections below the forefoot and heel that are not see-through at all. These pods host herringbone grip lines to augment the overall traction provided underfoot, while the carbon fibre plate visible behind the outsole helps to support the foot. This last feature is decorated with a grid that switches from dark grey to light, and a Midnight Navy Jumpman resides in its centre.
The white midsole then brings comfort to the design via its Phylon foam body and Air-cushioned interior, which reaches from heel to toe. A captivating mudguard of Midnight Navy patent leather acts as the bottom layer of the upper, its surface glistening in the light. Above this, durable ballistic mesh in Grey Mist wraps over the foot, coating the top of the tongue on its way. The shoe’s well-known webbed lacing system comprises several bands of Grey Mist textile that form loops along the edge of the tongue to firmly secure the white laces in place. A Midnight Navy patch sits across the middle of the tongue, the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” woven through it either side of a white Jumpman silhouette.
Meanwhile, the shoe’s interior has been padded out with a soft Midnight Navy covering on the lining, with the same colour appearing on the back of the tongue and the insole. A white box containing the number 30 in more deep blue tones honours the 30th anniversary of the Jordan line. Two white Jumpman logos can also be found on the inside of the sneaker, one in the middle of the insole, the other on a patch sewn into the underside of the tongue. Where the inner lining spills out to form the Midnight Navy heel tab, the number 23 has been printed in reference to Jordan’s famous jersey number. Finally, just below this, in the Mist Grey heel overlay, is a concluding Jumpman in fine white embroidery.
