Jordan 11 Retro Low

The classic black and white build of this Jordan 11 Retro Low is highlighted with a series of colourful accents, giving it a distinctive appearance. Its foundation is a translucent rubber outsole with a hint of pale blue that makes the carbon fibre shank set between it and the midsole seem to shimmer. Where this lightweight plastic plate emerges from behind the outsole on the medial side, its light and dark grey grid pattern is clear to see, while an Emerald Rise Jumpman logo resides in its centre, giving rise to the shoe’s nickname: Emerald. There are also two black sections of rubber on the outsole below the toe and heel that are both opaque and have herringbone grip lines zigzagging across them to provide maximum traction underfoot. Completing the sole unit is a white Phylon foam midsole whose interior holds a full-length pocket of encapsulated Air that makes the shoe wonderfully comfortable to wear.

Meanwhile, the upper brings together a black patent leather mudguard with a white quarter panel and heel overlay made from traditional leather. Five additional strips of this same material reach from the seams along the bottom edge of the quarter to each side of the tongue. Here, they create loops for the white laces to be threaded through over a white leather tongue. A contrasting black panel placed over the middle of this last feature displays a Jumpman silhouette in the pleasant turquoise hue of Emerald Rise, and flanking it are the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” in white text.

Black can also be seen on the topline of the collar, the soft material extending down inside the shoe to coat the lining and the insole as well. Another Emerald Rise Jumpman stands out upon the surface of the latter, and a smaller one sits in the centre of a patch sewn into the back of the tongue. Back on the outer, an Emerald Rise 23 has been added to the black heel tab, which itself is shaped from the inner lining. Below this, a final Jumpman logo has been embroidered carefully into the centre of the heel in black to round out the sneaker with a stylish touch.
