The upper of the Nike Air Max 1 Golf features synthetic materials that are both durable and waterproof, making them ideal for a long day’s play, even in wet conditions. It offers a classic fit and feel, with solid lockdown provided by the standard lacing and its reinforced upper eyelets alongside soft internal padding and a cushioned insole for comfort.

Supporting the Air Max 1 Golf is a full-length foam insole with visible Air cushioning in the heel. In 2023, Nike introduced the Air Max 1 ‘86 OG Golf, its larger Air Max unit honouring the very first version of the original silhouette while also offering a softer, bouncier underfoot feel. It also features a new traction pattern with a Waffle-style design made for strong grip on the golf course, while its aesthetic replicates that of the iconic sneaker, giving it authentic heritage style.

Both the 2019 and the 2023 editions have been released in a range of colourways, from vintage classics and collaborations with the likes of Swarovski and Eastside Golf to tournament-inspired editions, such as the ‘Ryder Cup’ and ‘Masters’, and eccentric models like the ‘Grass’, with its green, turf-like outer, and the ‘Payday’, which pays homage to golf’s famous Sunday paydays.
