Jordan 1 Mid SE

This Jordan 1 Mid SE pays homage to an Air Jordan 11 colourway from the mid-90s that was called the Space Jam after the movie of the same name. The AJ1 version takes the same nickname and a similar colour scheme as well. It sits upon a translucent blue outsole with pivot-circle grip patterns under the forefoot and lugs that fan out from the centre of the heel to provide high-quality traction. Above this is a white midsole with comfortable Air cushioning inside and a textured exterior below the line of stitching that circumnavigates its top edge.

The upper opts for an all-black look that brings sleekness to the design. This tone coats the smooth leather panels that form the toe box, which is filled with breathable perforations, the midfoot, which tapers into a thin strip around the heel, and the mid-top collar. Everything else is made from glossy patent leather, giving the sneaker a classy appearance. This sheen appears through the forefoot mudguard and the two overlays that sit behind it, as well as the eyestay, the heel counter, the collar overlay and the swooshes. These last features stretch along the sidewalls, where diagonal lines of stitching moving up from the midsole cut across them before turning back towards the eyestay. In addition to this fine stitched detail, each leather panel has either a single or a double line of thread sewn carefully along its edge.

Elsewhere, powerful branding effects mark the design, firstly via the Dark Concord Jumpman embroidered into the black canvas tongue. Inside, the shoe is entirely black apart from the large Jumpman text that has been printed along the length of the insole in the same deep purple tones as the tongue logo. More subtly, a pair of Air Jordan Wings has been pressed into the patent leather on the lateral collar to round out the sneaker.
