Nike Air Force 1 '07

This AF1 ‘07 design has a spectrum of white and grey tones with colourful highlights to offer a stylish look. The shades of grey are Light Iron Ore and Pure Platinum, both of which are fairly light colours. One appears on the circular tread of the outsole, while the other decorates the soft suede of the swooshes and the heel tab. Meanwhile, a gentle beige known as Sand Drift coats the textured midsole, complete with the Air lettering on its lateral side and the stitch-filled groove that encircles it.

Apart from the grey suede elements, most of the upper is white, from the smooth leather of the forefoot and heel to the tight weave of the midfoot panels to the eyestay and the canvas fabric of the tongue. A pale grey, almost silver tone features on the insole and the inner lining, which has a nifty honeycomb impression running through its surface. The fine grey mesh stretching across the former has a colourful motif printed over it in the form of an orange spray can with Nike branding. A puff of white spray is being emitted from its nozzle, within which hides a surreptitious swoosh.

This emblem connects conceptually to other parts of the sneaker, firstly through its bold orange colour, which also shows up on the text over both the inside and outside of the tongue patch, as well as the Nike Air branding embroidered into the heel. Secondly, to form the final compelling design piece on this charming shoe, flecks of light grey emulate paint splatter over the pristine white of the heel and forefoot overlays.
