Nike Air Force 1 '07 Next Nature

Subtle tonal variations exist across this Air Force 1 ‘07 Next Nature. Firstly, the rubber outsole is a creamy off-white tone called Sail. Dispersed across its curved grip patterns are tiny flecks of black which, as well as creating an endearing aesthetic, suggest the use of recycled materials to make the shoe. The midsole incorporates the same external decoration, while internally it contains Air cushioning, as indicated by the lettering embossed onto the lateral heel.

Placed atop this foundation is a Summit White upper made of cracked leather with satisfying textured lines running over it. On the toe box, this tough durable leather is marked with lines of ventilation holes, above which there is a silver lace dubrae with AF1 branding. Threaded through this shiny piece of metal is a set of Sail laces that present a mild contrast with the whiter leather panels around them.

Along with these more neutral tones, Mica Green swooshes in smooth leather adorn the flanks. The heel panel also features this muted green hue alongside white NIke Air text that has been sewn into its surface. The tongue patch is laid out in the opposite way, with Nike Air branding in Mica Green on a Summit White background. Finishing things up is the sneaker’s inner, which consists of a comfortable white mesh around the sidewalls and a radiant lime green insole. Printed onto this bright surface is a black pinwheel of Nike swooshes – the dynamic emblem of the brand’s Move to Zero sustainability programme.
